How to perform Virabhadrasana I?

This is the standing balancing asana. This is good pose to enhance the mental and physical well being.

Here is the step by steps guidance of Virabhadrasana are discussed below:

  1. Start by coming in the mat with your feet together.
  2. Now step back your right foot above 4 feet distance between both your feet.
  3. Toes are pointing on the front.
  4. Both the heels are aligned in one straight line.
  5. From here raise your both arms straight overhead and  reaching upper arms towards the sky.
  6. Keep your palms facing each other or allow them to touch.
  7. Look upward towards the ceiling.
  8. keeping your neck relaxed and aligned with the spine.
  9. Turn your right toe out and bent the right knee.
  10. Bent your knee so that your knees are above your ankle and your thigh is parallel to the floor.
  11. Create a 90-degree angle between your knee and thigh.
  12. Hold this for few seconds keeping your legs strong.
  13. Repeat the posture to the other side also.
  14. Release the posture by bring the arms down and step back to the starting position.
