How to preform Viparita Virabhadsana?

Here is the step by step guidance of how to perform the Reverse Warrior Pose correctly:

  1. To start this pose, standing on the floor in Tadasana with your feet hip-width apart.
  2. Now slowly turn your right foot out 90 degree angle.
  3. Your left foot is slightly inward.
  4. Bend your right knee by making a 90 degree angle.
  5. Stretch your arms to the sides and palms is facing down.
  6. By breathing gently reach your right hand back towards your back leg.
  7. Similarly, slide your left hand down your left leg or bring it overhead.
  8. When you reach your right hand back, keep your chest and heart lifted.
  9. Keep your legs stretched and active.
  10. To maintain the balance, slowly pressing your outer edge of the foot.
  11. Keep your right knee bent and aligned and your torso leaning forward.
  12. Hold this pose to feel the stretch by the sides.
  13. To release the posture, gently Straighten your right leg, and repeat on the other side.
