What is the Auspicious Pose (Swastikasana)

Swastikasana, the name of this asana come from the sanskrit language where, “su” means success or property, “Asti” means, Existing, “Ka” means, making thing happen and “Asana” means posture. It is practiced by sitting the crossed leg, the cross leg is the symbol like Swastika, a symbol of peace or lucky in India.

How to Perform Swastikasana?

Here is the steps of the Auspicious Pose (Swastikasana)  are discussed below:

  1. To start this pose, simply sit on the floor with your legs are stretched out in front of you.
  2. Now, simply bend your left leg from the knees and placing the sole of foot inside your right thigh.
  3. Similarly, bending the right leg and place the sole of foot on the left thigh.
  4. Make sure that your knees are touching the ground.
  5. Keep your spine straight.
  6. Placing your hands on the knees and close your eyes.
  7. Breathing gently and relax or calm your whole body.
  8. You can also practice pranayama in this time.
  9. Hold this pose as long as you can.
  10. Then, release your posture and relax.
